Clarinase nasal spray contains mometasone which is in a class of medications called corticosteroids and works by blocking the release of certain natural substances that cause allergy symptoms.

Clarinase is a nasal suspension (liquid) that should be applied in the nose once or twice a day. For hayfever or allergy prevention or relief, spray once in each nostril daily. To treat nasal polyps, spray once or twice daily, preferably in the morning and evening. For best results, use Clarinase at the same time every day and begin treatment 2 to 4 weeks before pollen season starts.

Directions

Adults (aged 18 years and over). The usual dose is two sprays in each nostril once a day. Once your symptoms are under control, you may reduce the dose to one spray in each nostril once a day.
