Otosan Ear Cone arose from the rediscovery of a traditional ear hygiene method, called auricular thermotherapy, a gentle technique with ancient origins.

Enhanced with innovative safety and comfort devices, the Otosan Ear Cone is a natural, practical, safe and effective device, which, through beneficial heat and a chimney effect, helps to eliminate impurities and excess earwax from the ear.

Directions

1. Insert the Otosan cone into the protective Disc (silvered side up) as far as the base of the Flame Breaking Ring.
2. Light the wider end of the cone.
3. Insert the tapered end of the Otosan cone not too deeply into the ear, holding it as vertical as possible.
4. No smoke should be visible between the cone and the ear. 
   (If smoke is visible between the cone and the ear, adjust the angle of the cone for a better seal.)
5. When the flame has burnt down to the Flame Breaking Ring, stop treatment and extinguish the Otosan cone in a glass of water.
6. Repeat the process with the other ear.

How it works

Warm air produced by the lit Otosan cone gently fills the ear canal, softening the earwax and – thanks to warm propolis vapours – give effective protection to the ear. This heat also regenerates blood flow within the ear, resulting in a feeling of well-being, and of gentle relaxation.

The warm rising air creates a slight vacuum at the base of the cone. This helps in eliminating waste, deposits, and water from the ear canal, and regains the correct tension of the eardrum following sudden changes in atmospheric pressure.
